The Wyandotte Street Art Fair is a collection of artists, crafters and food vendors, but to me, it’s a collection of memories. Yes, I’m going there. Cue in the ukulele version of Over the Rainbow as I get schmoopy and reminisce about my old family memories and notice that I’ve been building my own lately.
GRAB A SPOON!
Some people have major summer goals.
To get that big landscaping project in the backyard done, to get the porch steps painted, to finally read your copy of Pride and Prejudice or to finally fit into that swimsuit. This year, my summer goal is to try all 39 flavors of ice cream from the Twist and Shout.
TEMPTED BY THE FRUIT OF ANOTHER
I thought I could control myself, but I couldn’t. I thought that this was behind me, but I was wrong.
I think about you all the time. You occupy my mind all hours of the day. When I’m at the park with Ellie, I think about how we can be together. When I’m driving, you dictate which route I take so I can see you. I wonder if anyone can tell. Can they see my wandering eyes? Do they notice our unspoken bond? Did I get rid of the evidence in time? I yearn to be with you. I ache for you. Actually my stomach aches. Yes, you guessed it. I’m having an affair, a food affair.
DOUGH!

I love donuts and I considered myself privileged to live within walking distance of what had to be one of the best neighborhood bakeries around. Not only was it a small, non-chain, independently owned, local bakery, but it was right smack in the middle of the neighborhood. It was perfect.
