Dear Bunnee,

This is Daddy. You haven’t heard much from me yet. I haven’t been able to spend as much time with you like I did with your sister when she was in mama’s belly. We didn’t have the listening nights of Mozart, the Beatles, and Stevie Wonder like I wanted to. But you know what? It’s ok, because really soon (I mean really soon) we’re going to be spending so much time together. We are actually on our way to meet you! And pretty soon I’ll be rocking you in my arms while we listen to music on the “outside.” I’m so excited to have this experience and for you to have a birthday story that’s all your own. And so far it’s off to a good start!

xoxo Daddy

Aya had half of her 41 week post written and then decided not to finish it. “If I don’t finish it, then she’ll come.” And well, I guess she was right. Because I’m writing this instead of her.

We decided to go out for our last last dinner with my folks today. We went to the Eagle Tavern at Greenfield Village. And while walking around the village, Aya started having some intense contractions. But we continued on, went on the carousel with Ellie, and then had dinner. But on the walk back as her contractions started to pick up, we decided we should probably start heading in the direction of the birth center.

So finally, here we go! Let’s have a baby!

  1. The real reason the baby is coming is the mass consciousness experiment I conducted with my band classes. We even used the thought transfer helmets! You owe us one!
